  • SUMMARY:
My research focuses on the identification of embryo-maternal interactions and the optimization of assisted reproductive technologies, primarily in the horse, but also in cattle. We use molecular biology (proteomics, mRNA- and miRNA-Sequencing) to identify crucial signaling molecules associated with developmental competence of gametes and preimplantation embryos. By examining the effect of these molecules, in combination with 2D and 3D structures resembling the physiological conditions in the maternal reproductive tract, the in vitro embryo production can be improved, which is our general research goal.
