  • FUNCTION:
    Professor
  • WORK ADDRESS:
    Technologiepark 126, 9052 Zwijnaarde, Belgium
  • SUMMARY:
Prof. Jeroen Missinne is with the CMST research group, an imec-affiliated lab at Ghent University. The research at CMST is focused on smart microsystems integration and design, in the broad sense. Particularly interesting for this consortium is CMST’s expertise in flexible/stretchable electronic or optical microsystems technology, microfluidic technology, hermetic packaging, and sensing. Within CMST, Jeroen Missinne is mainly involved in optical microsystems, with a focus on photonic sensors and photonic packaging, with activities in mechanically flexible photonics, polymer optical waveguides, integration of optical and optoelectronic components, optical coupling to photonic integrated chips and laser-based fabrication technologies (for example fs laser inscription of photonic and fluidic structures in glass).

Prof. Jeroen Missinne is part-time professor at Ghent University and also employed at CMST, an imec-affiliated lab at Ghent University. His research involves laser fabrication technology, optical sensors and flexible/stretchable photonics and electronics.
